SteamDroid v1.2

Coming later today, SteamDroid v1.2!!!

Updates include:
-New "Details" page containing much more info (including the much requested degrees superheat)
-Number values are now right-aligned when entered (we think this looks better)
-Other minor fixes including an always available calculate button.

Additional Notes:  We didn't have as much time to test this before release, so please email the dev if you find any bugs. As usual, let us know your requests even if they are minor.

SteamDroid 1.1 Update

We have just released an update for SteamDroid, and we jumped all the way from version 1.02 to 1.1 because of some of the major updates included with this release.

We still need to update our screenshots, but we added a new units menu that allows for more customization as far as units go.  We also changed around the way the inputs were read in to be much more friendly and avoid a bug that was discovered by one of our users.  Other minor fixes include centering the calculate button in landscape mode and slightly bigger buttons.

As usual, let us know if you have any feature requests or recommendations.

-Landscape layout now supported
-File size reduced significantly
-Updated compatibility with Android 2.3
-Icon and market graphics updated
-Minor bug fixes

Please give us some feedback and let us know what we can do to provide you with a better app.  Thanks for downloading!

What We Are Working On

It's been a little while since our last update for SteamDroid, but here's a quick note about what we've been up to.
1) First of all, we are implementing a licensing feature for our program to stay up-to-date with google's policies.  The average user will only notice a decrease in the program size by about 500KB, but this is a must-do.
2) The next thing we're working on is a landscape mode for you Droid users out there, as well as anyone else who has a landscape optimized phone.  Currently SteamDroid only supports portrait mode, so it might be frustrating when you turn your phone to pop out a physical keyboard and the screen doesn't rotate.  We'll be fixing this soon.
3) Finally, one of the biggest things we've been working on is adding support for the IAPWS-95 standard.  This standard is not optimized for quick computation like the '97 standard we currently use.  The '95 standard, however, is more accurate for thermodynamic calculations.  We expect to allow the user to toggle between the two standards.
Well, if you users have any suggestions for the developers, please comment either here on the blog or on the Android Marketplace, or you can always shoot us an email.
Thanks.

SteamDroid Beta Released!

We have officially released the beta for SteamDroid!  The cost is $1.99 in the Android Market.  Please download it and let us know what you think. The current implementation uses no tables, but calculates all values based on the IAPWS-97 standard (most Thermo texts use the '67 standard for their tables).  Currently, it is capable of the following calculations:
f(T,x)
f(P,T)
f(P,H)
f(P,S)
f(P,x)
Again, leave us some feedback as we continue to work with this fine app.
